So, that just happened.
Okay. Gonna try auto-posting content from Posterous to Tumblr for a while. (See below.) Having said that, I do have mixed feelings about the wisdom of blasting the same content to various outlets. I mean, Flickr’s good for some things, Facebook for others, Twitter for still others, and I’m not convinced either providers or consumers of content are well served when it’s all an indiscriminate hash, spooned up wholesale onto a bunch of different platters. (Which is, yes, a lovely image.) But Tumblr and Posterous are similar enough in functionality, and in what I want to use them for, that this seems like an experiment worth trying. We’ll see.
