Oh, South Philly Experience truck... You had me at "Whiz."
Dashboard dining from the South Philly Experience truck, parked today at Olympic & Butler in West LA. The roll is Amoroso’s, the beef is thinly-sliced ribeye, and the cheese is — well, there’s only one right cheese for a cheesesteak.
Melty Cheez Whiz explosion. The focus is a little soft because my hands were shaking. From happiness.
Right around here is where it occurred to me that I was a middle-aged man sitting alone in his car photographing his food. Then I finished the sandwich, licked the cheese from the paper and drove home.
